Welcome to the Cernis Blog
This is the home for Cernis field notes — short, opinionated pieces from the team behind the executive risk intelligence platform. Expect three flavors:
- Field notes. Patterns we see across thousands of executive assessments — what predicts success, what predicts disaster, and where the conventional wisdom breaks.
- Method posts. How our scoring engines actually work, what the conformal prediction sets mean in plain language, and why we publish a model card.
- Hiring playbooks. Concrete frameworks for boards, CEOs, and people teams making high-stakes calls under uncertainty.
Why we write
Most content about hiring is either vendor marketing dressed as research or academic work that never reaches the people running the searches. We write the thing we wish existed when we were building the platform: short, evidence-based, and free of jargon.
If you want the long-form definitions and reference material, that lives in the glossary. If you want the running commentary, you're in the right place.

New posts appear here whenever we have something worth saying. No publishing schedule, no SEO mill, no "10 reasons" listicles. Bookmark this page or follow us on the channels in the footer.
